I know what you're going through, especially the thoughts part. When I first started having panic attacks and anxiety I thought I was going crazy. I was deathly afraid that I was schizophrenic, and I almost had myself convinced that I was hearing voices....even though I wasn't, it was just my anxiety being ridiculous. It was awful and I would never wish it on my worst enemy, but I'm much better now. Like jcook said, definitely get in to see your doctor. Medication and therapy have done wonders for me.
Hang in there, things WILL get better and you won't suffer like this forever. I promise.
Do you have health anxiety? My anxiety always goes up when I, or someone Im close to, (or really just anyone) around me is sick. Basically becuase I have anxiety of throwing up. Its great your seeking medical help becuase you DONT need to feel like this. There is medication that lessens the symptoms and therapy helps to get to the root of things and helps build you up to be more tolerant of it and deal with it a lot better. I had dealt with this since I was 2 years old (15 years) and I finially sought help 1 year ago and I went on medication, and therapy, ad I can deal with this anxiety a lot better. So do not give up, You are absolultly NOT alone. Sooo many people, people you wouldnt even guess, have anxiety. It is something you can overcome, and you will be a stronger person because of it. Good luck to you! My advice is to stay strong. Stay positive, try to get into different hobbies that can distract you from your anxiety like drawing, painting, music, writing, singing, sports (which is proven to really really help anxiety), meditation, etc. All hobbies like that help with anxiety becuase they help you focus on something else besides the cycling anxious thoughts in your mind.
