I see things

I see a psychiatrist once a week. He's prescribed me with medication on a low dose. I see things that aren't there, like scary sights of a woman in a bath. The other night I saw a sight of her throwing knives towards my back. Sometimes I think she's saying 'come upstairs'. My psyciatrist hasn't said that I have a medical condition. He says it's a reaction to certain life events and stress. Am I normal?

Yes, you're normal but I do think these "visions" need to be taken more seriously by your psychiatrist.  Stress can do these things to you, and your doctor needs to be talking to you about them, why they are happening and what they represent.  I'm sure it scares the daylights out of you, and he needs to know this.  Ask him what can be done to help you cope with this, as it's stressing you even more.  He may want to increase your meds, change them or add to them, only he knows what is best for you. I know it's scary, but it will get better.  I wish you all the best and take care.

Reactions to certain life events and stress can cause this or trigger this, and it is a medical condition.  I'd tell the psychiatrist that the visions are not going away and ask about upping your medication dose.
