You may have MdDS. Check it out on the web.
You're right, I didn't mean all of them. Just the one you quoted about quackery. That one is. The others aren't. Sorry if I lumped them all together.
Yeah of course Paxiled, all the science based medicine/evidence based medicine websites are funded by the pharmaceutical companies...
I suggest you double-check your statement when saying such conspiracy theory believing treatment. The guys running sciencebasedmedicine.com are all physicians working in different fields and they talk about a lot of stuff not only pharmaceutical, when a supplement is good with good result they also tell it. Quackwatch.com have nothing to do with pharmaceutical company it is only making the people aware of all the frauds, scams and quackery around, this haves nothing to do with pharmaceutical companies and all is backed up with real references and scientific evidences.

thank you for youe answers ! i really appreciate it
Safe and effective treatments? Such as? Nothing is safer than homeopathy, so if it works for a particular person, why would anyone discourage it? After my Paxil experience, the only things that worked for me without paradoxical effects were homeopathic remedies. And remember, those quackery websites are funded by the pharmaceutical industry. Now, I can't say as how I know how homeopathy works, it sure sounded like quackery to me when I first heard of it, but after seeing it work on both me and so many of my customers, well, I developed an open mind. It has its limits and its uses, and there are more mysteries in science than there are facts. As to mercury being a neuro-toxin and the FDA suggesting limits on the number of times people ingest certain fish, particularly in the family that includes tuna, mackerel, and bonito, well, that's so well established one wonders why anyone would wish such harm on others as to tell them not to at least be careful. But then, it's the web, isn't it? Beware of people quoting websites, I guess.
in fact it's only water at the extreme dilution they use nothing of the actual active ingredient remains, for a chemist homeopathy is imposible, for a physicist its imposible and for a biologist he would tell you that indeed the placebo effect can have real effects on the human biology. You can drink as many bottles as you want without any side-effects or interactions (tested).

People should be aware of safe and effective treatments as well as quackery.

You're right. People have the missed conception that homeopathy is safe, when in reality it has many side effects, and when mixed with medications can have adverse reactions.
Another good website concerning health and critical thinking. You'll see a lot concerning homeopathy too on here. Homeopathy have no scientific evidence whatsoever and may be dangerous for someone with a real health problem that would require real medicine. The UK almost had all the homeopathy removed but they agreed to leave them on the shelves because of the placebo effects.

All scientific evidences regarding the mercury and you fillings that it cannot cause harm.
Critical thinking is important and we should look at the studies which are scientific evidences rather that the myths.

Sorry, but the answers above don't correspond with the thinking of innovative dentists. Mercury is a known neurotoxin, and obviously the sensitivity of anyone to it will vary. Some people will get completely wiped out by it mentally, others won't feel anything. The FDA has a warning on how much fish to consume for a reason -- mercury is quite toxic. The problem is, removing your fillings has to be done by someone very well versed in this, because like asbestos, the venting can be worse that leaving it alone. It would depend on the severity of your symptoms whether removing your fillings would be recommended. My dentist, also a homeopath, doesn't usually recommend removing fillings because of the venting problem, but he absolutely will not use mercury in any new fillings. If he does remove them, it would be done slowly, and with very careful venting out of the body so it doesn't get released into your system. Now, most dentists don't believe in this -- mainstream practitioners of anything just go along to get along. The true innovators who push us to better things always start out being pooh-poohed. It happened to Einstein, it will happen to your dentist who won't put mercury in your fillings or opposes fluoride in water because it does nothing for adults and is an immune system depressant. Now, is mercury responsible for your problems? Who knows? We're subjected to so many toxins in the name of making a profit that it's hard to isolate causation. They used to put lead in everything, too. But whenever you read people pooh pooh known toxins, go to google and find the outlyers and make up your own mind. The mainstream is where people drown.
I agree. I think this "tale" was created by dentists looking for a way to make money by removing the mercury fillings. My father-in-law was a dentist and my husband played with mercury all the time. He has no effects from it.
the amount of mercury is too small to have any significant or measurable effects that could affect your health or cause dizziness. The mercury you get from your fillings is mercury vapor. The body cannot absorb enough mercury vapor to cause any health problems. Every fishes contain mercury, the bigger the fish the higher amount of mercury. I could eat tuna everyday (get a higher amount of mercury than with mercury vapor from fillings) and have absolutely no side-effects.
That being said, enjoy your tuna sandwich and salmon and don't worry about mercury. It takes much larger dose of chronic exposure to mercury to develop any health problems.
I highly suggest you read this page and if you are in doubt I would also read the references and actual studies.
