Living with a hypochondriac

Can someone please tell me how to cope living with a hypochondriac?

My husband's father passed away 3 years ago due to cancer. Since then my husband is worried about the possibility of him getting cancer.

My husband keeps on observing the slightest changes in his body and insists that it is related to cancer. Although I tell him that there is nothing wrong with him, he insists it is a serious illness. We end up going to the doctor almost once every 3 weeks. The doctors continually tells him that he is fine.

His obsession is now driving me crazy cause we cant seem to focus on anything else other than his health and our medical bills are on the rise.

Thank you.

It has been 3 years now and it seems to be getting worse by the day. Some times we end up spending some important days, such as b'days, at a hospital waiting to see a doc regarding an illness he doesn't have. So you can imagine how frustrating it is.

hi, i am a hypochondriac and my wife is going crazy because i keep thinking im going to have an allergic reaction. itrs been about three months and she is going nuts aswell as me but i can tell how frustrated she is by me, our relationship was perfect, we are young, healthy and have a beautiful new son but since this happened to me i have been obsessed. Just know itll definately pass. It is hard but as time goes on im sure your husband will become his normal self again once he knows "its been so long and i still dont have cancer"
