Myoclonus/involuntary movements - just anxiety?

Hey people, I'm freaking out here..
I'm new to this site.

I've been experiencing pins and needles all over my body for a couple of weeks. Started focus on my breathing yesterday, because my mom noticed, I breath very fast. And I feel like that's settling.
What worries me more, is that I get involuntary muscle movements all day long. Mostly in my legs. It goes as quick as it goes with no pain.
I made the mistake of googling, and now I'm worrying sick.. It's all day long! I don't notice it when i exercise, it doesn't make my drop things og interfere with anything. But it scares me!
I'm a med-student, or.. I just decided to get another education instead. I'm very fagile emotionally, and I certainly have a lot in my baggage. I worry about everything, mostly my family, boyfriend and my own health. I overthink a lot of things.

Can this be just anxiety? Have an apointment with a neurologist on thursday, but I can hardly wait to get some kind of answer.
My own doctor didn't seem worried, just told me to go home an wait for it to go away... I'm just not convinced.

Nobody here can really tell you if it's anxiety or something else.  I hope your regular doc gave you a lot of tests before sending you to a neurologist, as even things like a magnesium deficiency can cause this.  Getting your electrolytes?  So while anxiety can cause stuff, so can lots of other things.  Given your anxiety, are you in therapy for it?
