Brain zaps but not on medicine

22year male,  I have taken 50mg zoloft once a day and 2mg klonopin once a day for 9 months. I never had brain zaps after tappering down and after 43days im getting brain zaps and im scared out of my mind. Is this anxiety? I also feel foggy n tired...im scared all the time and worried.

I know exactly what you are talking about!  I have had this happen in just the way you say.  I asked my doc about it and he said it was anxiety-related, as well as the fatigue.  He assured me that it would not worsen as long as I take my meds as prescribed, and this has proven true, in fact I actually feel better now.  I hope this helps! - Blu

Hi there! I had the brain zaps as well, but mine was a result of getting off my paxil. Ive been off paxil for about a year now, and still randomly get these, I also get them in my chest and my through my arms. It is very strange, but my doctor assures me that its normal, and just one of the horrible symptoms we get from anxiety.. Hang in there, and hopefully these will subside soon, but just know your not the first to have these, and certainly not the last! I still deal with it every now and then..
