Deep breaths - Anxiety?

Lately I've been having to take deep breaths though-out the day. It's often every few minutes when I have to. It kind of goes away if I don't think about it and doesn't occur some days at all. I can run fine outside and try to do it each day. I usually sleep well and often on my stomach. It's been around for a few months now. I'm not sure if I'm depressed, I'm lonely sometimes though. I pace sometimes and bit my nails. My brother does have asthma but I don't have problems with too many animals like him or running for long distances. My parents to smoke, I don't, however. I'm 25 now, going on 26 in June.

I agree.  I think shortness of breath is something to get examined over.  Anxiety over something can make us hyper focused on it and it feels 'worse'.  When it's really just our anxiety.  However, now one can say that is what is going on here and this is of the nature that you should see your doctor to be thoroughly examined.  good luck

If you're concerned, see a doctor.  I will say, as the child of two smokers, being around all that smoke usually leaves the children with allergies, at the least.
