S.O.S

My boyfriend has recently told me that for the past few months he has times where his heart starts beating fast and he feels like he needs to get up and move but he doesn't want to move. He also said he gets a very wierd feeling in his right arm (numbness almost). He refuses to go to a doctor though and thinks going to a doctor is pointless. He also mentioned that the past two weeks have been kind of blurry. I asked if it may be stress related and he said that yesterday when it had happened he had a perfectly fine day at work. What could this be? and How do I get him to seek medical help from his doctor?

Try making your boyfriend feel like you need your piece of mind.  Obviously it is worrying you as much as him.  Anything that could endanger his health is a threat to you.  I would never rule out a physical problem without a full work-up with his doctor.  Yes panic attacks can cause these symptoms but never assume anything.

Your BF definitely needs to have his symptoms checked out, preferrably by a cardiologist.
For his sake I hope it's nothing, but you might want to ask him if he thinks it's "pointless" to get off the couch and possibly save his life.

I am not a Dr but what it sounds like to me is a panic attack samesymptoms almost that i had the racing heart my hands and feet went tingly i went out of here by ambulance thinking i was having a heart attack but it was only panic attack and Whenn I talked to the dr they did an ekg which came back normal but she said stress can hit you at n e point in time, panic attacks can happen even when u dont feel stressed but the tingling sensations and all that is normal along with the anxiety and panic attacks.Tell him to get checked out just to rule out anything else but his symptoms are like wht i expierenced. They gave me valium and when i feel an attack coming on i take one and it calms me because i refuse to take something everyday....GoodLuck to you trying to get him to go to the dr I cant get my boyfriend to go either guess its a man thing lol If you have any questions please dont hesitate to ask everyone on here is very helpful!

How old is your boyfriend? Such symptoms could be signs of heart disease.
