So confused, what do i do?, doctors arnt helping much :(

Hiya guys, back for another round of posting!

The subject being my stomach troubles I've had for 3-4 days now. I've had a look and read up about IBS, it sounds to me a more real thing as i read through it this website for example http://www.patient.co.uk/health/Irritable-Bowel-Syndrome.htm (i'm unsure if you can post links in a question, sorry if its not allowed i didn't know)

I looked through the causes, the symptoms and even though i had a bad spell of going to the bathroom see here --> http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Anxiety/is-there-a-name-for-this--whats-going-on-/show/1572190?personal_page_id=1961032#post_7145788

i've had similar instances before, my doctor mentioned not too worry but, i cant seem to get a straight answer, if i've got IBS why dont they just tell me?!! Christ knows I've been there so often, i know anxiety causes you to obsess over things, i know this well enough....but am i worrying too much or have i got IBS or not?, my stomach has small aches and cramps, I'm breaking wind and burping alot which has been quite acidic, my stools have been exactly what that site says, and there's a lot of gurgling and that bloated and full feeling going on. so far, i havn't thrown up and seen any blood from my stomach so i don't think this is a bleed on the inside by far.....i hope not!!

I'm stuck between thinking of going to ER and getting seen by a specialist in this area or really nagging my doc to listen up and hear me out!, so frustrated...i was back on a decent track of health and now this!, one little thing and i'm a mess....and i imagine most of you on this community feel the same boat, there's a lot of good people here who give good advice, throw me your wisdom!

Try a supplement called DGL, a form of licorice that you chew.  You can also try drinking a few ounces of aloe vera juice every day, but it might make you go to the bathroom more at first.  Both of these are good at repairing the mucosal lining of the stomach and intestinal tract.  Avoid dairy.  Chamomile will help relax the digestive process.  Digestive enzymes will help your digestive system do its job and maintain proper alkaline-acid balance.  Don't overdo fruit.  Get plenty of fiber, but don't overdo it.  Try researching natural treatments for IBS, because in this area docs usually keep going after the symptoms with medication, which tends to suppress acid production, which forces the stomach to keep producing more and more since it needs the acid to digest protein.  And if you can afford it, a holistic nutritionist might help you discover certain foods you have a problem with.  In other words, I don't know how to fix anxiety, but you can at least mitigate some of the stresses it causes.  Relaxation techniques such as meditation might also be helpful, again to slow down the digestive process, and make sure you chew your food thoroughly -- those of us with anxiety tend to wolf it down.  Good luck.

Many people have IBS for many different reasons.  Stress and anxiety being only one of them.  Your diet is an important part of treatment.  I also take probiotics that actually return the good bacteria to your digestive system.  They are over the counter.  There are many generic brands.  My doctor swears by them. Probiotics are not a medicine but a supplement. IBS is uncomfortable but manageable.  Ask your doctor about a diet.  There is a list of food they usually give you to avoid.  Even if your doctor doesn't believe you have IBS, none of these suggestions will harm you.
