have I got it ?

hey guys, so this is my first post and the first time I have been on a forum to explain and find answers.
recently in the last few
months I went to see
my doctor for breathing problems and at the time it was something that ony came every now and then ( every couple of weeks) I was issued a inhaler and then sent on my way , the breathing I was experience was short breath, using the inhaler helped and
minamised it , months on now it has become a daily thing and is more frequent and contains spike cheat pain when exhaling must I say this is a off and on thing tht occurs and I dont know if it's to do with anxiety or of I have it or due to stress I don't even feel stressed ? I live my life in fear
most of the time I hate to be alone o my own in gear of getting sick , I feel if I do a certain thing or eat a certain amount il get sick and something bad will happen I guess that a separate situation to my breathing . this all started 5 years ago when I had a excruciating pain on my right lower abdo was sent to ER room almost every night for a week becuase the pain was on and off ran tests and
MRI and all came back well which left no diagnosis and
me paranoid , so I was off from work for 2 weeks on bed rest and given nurofen and
buscopan as
the fixer upper ' which it did but my assumption was I had a kidney stone and had passed it ! anyway 5 years on I still think about it and wonder if it will come back iv had since then pain still in my abdo which is an off and on pain too sometimes severe sometimes mild, I recently went to ER becuase lately I have had burning acidy pain otop of
my stomach and they gave me Milanta stayed in the hospital for the night and that was dismissed becuase the pain went away? from then I have chaned my diet too more fibre and fruit and also have started exercising 4 days a week at the gym which I have never done in my life ! anyway someone please help as I'm so confused as doctors keep tellingly my breathing is in my head and can be caused by anxiety and that they cannot find anything to this mysterious illness in my stomach ! I'm sick of doing blood tests I'm sick of being in hospitals and I'm tired of it ruining
my daily life :( I'm 22 years old I have a dad who has passed away from cholesterol and passed away in his sleep , a mother who has bronchiectisis and diabetes type 2 that's the less sever one right ? and is under weight  . I weigh 57.5kgms  and haven't had any major problems before '. please help its at the point where I can't stop thinking about it' thanks tals05

What you describe sounds like classic anxiety.  Breathing symptoms are actually very common among anxiety sufferers.

Your best bet would be to start at the doctor...explain that you would like to start addressing your symptoms as anxiety.  Your doctor will then likely refer you to a psychiatrist, who can accurately diagnose you and begin discussing treatment options.  In my opinion, the most successful anxiety treatment involves medications AND therapy.  The meds help to control the symptoms while the therapy will help you learn all about anxiety and different coping mechanisms.

I think it's a first step you should take.  You've been having these breathing symptoms long enough that if they were related to something physical/medical, your doctor would have found it by now.

Good luck, keep us posted!

Tals05,

You may think you are not under alot of stress but you most definitely are. Losing a parent is one of the most stressful things a human can experience. I'll bet this has something to do with the way you are feeling. But anxiety can be treated and controlled. The power is all within you to best it.

God Bless

ive had similar stuff to your symptoms. it all started when i felt my breathe slowly go down to a point where i felt like i couldnt breathe normal, so i called 911 and they came and checked me out and they said everything was fine. Well that week i would have shortness of breathe and just panic, constantly thinking about it and it was just terrifying. so i went to the etc they tested me for flu, didnt have that, so they just gave me allergy pills and sent me home. Well i took the allergy pills for about a week.. still felt the same..miserable,scared to death something serious is wrong with me. So 2 days later i had another episode where when i took deep breathes and couldnt get enough air so i went to the hospital they did blood work, that was fine, and i think an xray or something else i forget, but that was also fine, so they gave me an inhaler just incase (which didnt help). So after that a few days past was still shaky, and scared. well then for a week straight i felt fine, wasnt thinking about it, celebrated my birthday ect. well then monday hits and i feel shortness of breathe and such so went upstairs, lay down and just watch tv which seem to help me calm down. But now i have a stuffy/bloody nose, tingling all over my body, and just dizzyness. So im hoping what i have is just anxiety and not something more serious like MS or something else.
