Sporadic crying

I'm a 59 yr. old female with sporadic crying spells, feelings of hopelessness, & anxiety.  I have been diagnosed with depression however I don't feel sad.  I have a wonderful full life and great family. The doctors don't know what's wrong & have prescribed a million different medicines.  They work for a while but then I start it all over again. What is wrong with me?

Have you had your thyroid levels checked? You may be suffering from thyroid disease or possible Hashymoto's.

Have you seen a psychologist or other therapist? Perhaps there is some deep-seated issue, perhaps from something long ago, that you need to get out in the open and address.
