Stopping cold turkey is not only hard, it's dangerous -- stopping benzos cold turkey can cause seizures. That hasn't happened to you, so that's good. Your doc should be able and willing to fill your Rx by fax from the pharmacy, so I'm unclear why you have to see him unless it's been a long time in between visits -- because it's a controlled substance they do have to see you periodically to legally prescribe benzos. But if it hasn't been a long time and you've been on them, refilling an RX should be a simple process of either the pharmacy faxing the doc's office or calling the doc and getting him to call in the refill. It's malpractice for him to cut you off cold turkey with any medication that is associated with withdrawal or bad side effects of quitting abruptly. I'd call his office and badger them until you get a refill to tide you over until you see him next.

Not perhaps, he's a therapist I'm sure he knows more.
Why won't your pcp see you? Can you call him/her? Everybody reacts differently I stopped cold turkey about a year ago and I was fine. However, everybody reacts differently. I'm a little surprised your therapist said its no big deal... Perhaps he knows more about klonopin than I do
