Hello and welcome to MedHelp's forums. We appreciate your question. It is always wise to be your own advocate when it comes to your health and you have every right to ask questions of your care providers. Did you have an electrocardiogram or an echocardiogram? Both are used to get a look and diagnose aortic valve disease and issues. They then can do a transesophageal echocardiogram to get a closer look. This would possibly be a good next step for you. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/aortic-valve-disease/symptoms-causes/syc-20355117
It sounds like you need further evaluation at this point and we recommend you follow up on this. Please let us know the findings. Best of health to you.
Who told you that? There are no cardiovascular experts on here, but it would be hard to imagine how an EKG could lead to a diagnosis of something as specific as an aortic valve problem. Perhaps there were other things going on that combined to lead to this as a possibility, but I'd think if a doc thought this he or she would send you to a specialist who could tell you one way or the other. The fact is that an EKG done while not exercising in some fashion can only tell someone vague possibilities for future exploration, not anything that specific, at least as far as I know.
