Who Has Stopped Taking Xanax

Has anyone out there taken Xanax for 2-3 months at a low dose- 4 times daily .25 mg., and weaned off?  Would like to know if they had major problems getting off them and were they successful in staying off it?

I just got off x 2 weeks ago, see my open journal entries and yes I am doing fine. a little different, but allot of work, paying off

I took it at a low dose for about 3 months.  I did not have major problems coming off of it, however I initially tapered a little too quickly and went back to my doctor and told her I felt a little jittery and had some dizziness.  We decided to take it a little slower and it helped TREMENDOUSLY.  I haven't taken it in years, but remember it can be addicting both mentally and physically; but it does leave your system and you can definitely stay off it...let me know how it goes!
