Eye lid twitching from this Morning

Does anyone out there ever had eyelid twitch.  I take xanax daily but seems to do nothing.  Woke up with it this morning.  Is this another anxiety symptom.  Im not sleeping well and I don't know if its from the Xanax ive been taking for 2 months or something more serious.  I hate calling the dr. for every symptom and then it goes away.  Please any input from anyone!!!

I can't believe how this anxiety has hit me.  Days go by and I feel okay then out of the blue my head hurts and i'm fine, then this with the eye lid twitching.  I slept okay last night and woke up  and its back again.  I don't know if this xanax is helping anymore or just causing more problems.  I don't feel stressed than any normal time in my life but this seems to have an annoying hold.  Did you find anything to lessen these eye lid twitching.  Its really annoying and I don't want people to see it.  Thanks!

A Dr. said reflexes very fast more than normal. When raindrops fall on the eyelids the lids keep fluttering.  Has been that way for many years. Cant seem to find that issue online yet.

Absolutely.  I used to get the eyelid twitches when I was under severe stress.  It is definitely a sign of anxiety.  I used to get these in college all the time, especially at times I felt everything to be overwhelming.  I wouldn't worry too much about it.  It will go away after a couple days/weeks, and may reappear from time to time, or even years down the road.

When I'm stressed, tired, or anxious I get eyelid twitches. Actually, I get twitches all over the place. Doctor wrote it off as anxiety and he was right. It is harmless but quite annoying. It's probably from a combination of you not sleeping well and your anxiety. Not sleeping well compounds other issues. I would talk to your doctor about your sleeping problems. Of course if the eyelid twitching gets out of control talk to him/her about it as well. Good luck!
