Ok thanks. I'll talk to my doc about this
It sounds very much like u are suffering from chronic hyperventilation.
This can cause severe dizziness, shortness of breath
Struggling to breath and pounding heart.
Therapy could involve hypotherapy, CBT. You may also benefit from
Taking the Beta-blockers, they will calm the symptoms down.
Sorry for the way this is written, I'm on my
Mobile and is hard to write from.
I do feel glad that the test were fine...but in a way wanted the problem to be resolved, feel like im just going to be wasting time now, because the tests are fine, therefore theres nothing wrong with me!
My doctor advised going to private health care, which my dad had fru work, but i dont wanna go incase they just think im being stupid because theyve done all the tests and theyre all fine!
Gab,
Sometimes, when test results come back fine we do have the tendency to get frustrated and confused only to bypass the good news that everything is ok! Still you feel as there is something wrong and think, no piece of paper is going to tell me different. On one side I just want to tell you I am so happy that everything did come back negative. On the hand I know how you feel when you ask “is this all in my head” and express you feel as though your going mad. It breaks my heart but I can truly tell you I understand to an extent. After all I don’t know exactly how your feeling just as vise versa.
Did your doctor extend the process in figuring that it is anxiety? I would never want to impose, but Gab how did you feel when the tests did state everything was ok? I think anxiety is one of the most difficult “illness” or “disorder” known to man. The reason I believe this is because its kinda like an absentee from documentation. There is no proof as to how or why it surfaced. Even getting tests done for the symptoms in reference to anxiety its not going to come back in a written flashing light “ANXIETY” everything’s going to show up absent of anything wrong. Leaving more confusion because your body is going through suck turmoil. I think anxiety is highly different as well because as you continue to get more negative results back your loved ones aren’t seeing in paper that anything is wrong so they start to think “Its all in your head” after all its easily to have compassion for something with proof right? No, I don’t think that’s the case. Anxiety is very real, you can feel it. And sometimes it does get out of control having you beat up on yourself, feeling as though no one understands.
That’s why this site is an amazing medicine, specifically to anxiety. To be honest, I am not in therapy and I don’t take medication only because of insurance. I would highly recommend it. It is an essential benefit to overcoming anxiety. Personally, who better to talk to other than someone who is going through the same thing. Without insurance the anxiety did kick in full gear and I do have several blown out attacks a week but this site is instant xanax because others do understand what I’m going through because there going through it too.
Don’t be discouraged Gab, The main centerfold to focus on when you start feeling the physical discomfort of your body. Including your heart is knowing you’ve went through this state before and physically, everything is ok. Concentrate on your breathing. I reassure you, you are not alone and I will be here if you need anything. When things do get extremely hard I think of the little tune “Ooooo child things are gonna get easier… Oooo child things are gonna get brighter” haha… Take care Gab, and know I’m here.
the results were fine... arghh feel like im going mad! is this just all in my head?!?
I wont dont worry, im getting fed up of it now just want it sorted. Thanks ill keep you updated :)
Remember... put on your hard helmet if everything does come back normal which would indicate an amazing thing! but just to get down to the bottom of what is really going on dont leave out the door without a processed solution you have the right to know!!! <3
Yay!!! Keep us posted Gab! Praying for you....
I’m sure that your heart is perfectly healthy: ) Do the blood tests include T3-T4-TSH?
I had my bloods and ECG done yest..going back on thursday so shall see what they say :)
Regulate your heart and breathing with this pranayam and expect to notice the benefit in days. Initially do it twice a day, and then once a day for life, after you feel better.
Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.
Anulom Vilom pranayam –
Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 15 to 30 minutes twice a day.
Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs. You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.
I'll ask about that thanks :) also my heart beats fast after even a few minutes of exercise which the doc says isn't normal for someone my age! So we shall see what they come up with next!
hey gab maybe ask your doctor if these symptoms are in reference to having MVP (Mirital Valve Prolaspe) its is perhaps the most important physical conditon that complicates panic disorder. A valve in the heart (the mirtal vlave) prolapes or slips out of place when it is supposed to be closed. The result is that some blood leaks past the valve. For most MVP is harmless except for the discomfort that arises in a panic attack. Symptoms are chest pain often short sharp or stabbing they occur predominanitly at rest or occasionally with exercise. Pulpitations are another symptom (awareness of the heart beating) Fatigue is another. Just a suggestion in maybe discussing this with your doctor. :) Process of Elimination my friend.
I was put on medication for it. It did help alot especially with the attacks. A generic prozac. It took about 2 weeks to really start working.
im going to.. i cant go on feeling like this everyday!
me too. but dont let that stop u demand a processed elabrite soultion that gets down to the bottom of things.
i was given an inhalor when i was 16..but it wasnt because of ashma, they frt it was because of hayfeaver of allergic reaction because it came mostly in the summer...i think they just want a quick sollution really.
Im smilin bearsized right now, im so glad you have support from your dad, amazing, amazing!!! Have you ever had any heart conditions in the past? ashma?... Im releived to know you have a more helpful doctor, as it is hard to find because in my opinion I think most take tthe title "md" as a write off to slack off on the duty of actually being a doctor when in reality they are the most essetional to this world in the workplace. But I do have faith there are a few good ones out there and I hope that you've found one, which I beleive you did! Continue to strenghthen your mind throughout all of this and Ill be praying your tests go well! Im here....
yer..theyve perscribed me inhalors, beta blockers, but just seems like they cant be bothered finding what is really wrong, I saw a different doctor yesterday and he was really helpfull, he said they need to do all the blood tests again just to rule out anything else, but he said it may be anxiety, but cant say for deffinate at this point. Ive just been putting off doing anything about is because Ive been before and they just seem to give you medication without even knowing whats wrong. My dad went with me yesterday because hes noticed me struggeling to take breaths, so it felt better that he could actually stick up for me n say look there is something wrong here.
Your right, it does feel like no one understands, but I do and hypathetically when it comes to anxiety you and I are walking hand in hand and I am right here with you if you ever need anything.
It is "normal" for anxiety to occur everyday. Personally, mine has been consist throughout each dday for about a year now, The important thing if it is anxiety is to get solid foundation therapy or even someone you confide in to talk with. Medication may be directed to take from a doctor but I would advice if it is anxiety dont just let them push a medicine on you and boot you out the door as alot of doctors will do. If you let them do this you are only hueting yourself bc meds are only half the source to cease the anxiety if you dont attach talking with someone you possibly could have to take meds for the rest of your life. regardless it will only treat half of the disorder. Im not going to lie, it is a struggle and Im not gonna lie, you will get through us. As a huge bonus this website is amazing for support and encouragment that helps everyone overcome this.
Thanks, its good to hear advise from someone who has similar probelms cos noone else seems to understand. I will keep you updated.
