Panic Attack!!! Help

jqq
I went to sleep feeling panic. I woke up 2 hours later and still felt panic. I felt weird in my head and my heart was racing. Then I kept panicing. I started shaking and my hands were sweaty.I then got a little naseous too .I called this hotline and they said it was just a panic attack and to relax and calm down. I wanted to call the ambulence but then i called the number instead and I am feeling better now because I knew it was nothing. I also didnt eat so much today so maybe I had low bloood sugar..could this be the cause of panic?

Thank you so much! yeah I have never taken any medicine because I am trying to do this without it. Sometimes I do feel alone even though my family is really supportive its just they haven't directly experienced this. I drank chamomile lavender tea which is specifically for nervous stomach and it calmed me down a lot and I also drank a protein shake and I feel a lot better now. I feel wide awake right now but I guess it is from the adrenaline rush. I am going to try the banana thing. It is really weird because for a long time I wasn't eating them and since I got anxiety I have been eating them a lot more even without knowing their health benefits. I appreciate your help!

try to have bannana's around. they help me with panic. i don't know why.

what you have described is something i've experienced many times. it REALLY ***** because then you spend the entire next day not having enough sleep and that makes you even more prone to panic attacks during the day.

i can't magically make the panic and anxiety go away for you, but hopefully it will ease your mind to know you're definitly not alone. try to watch some tv...do you have anything you can take for your anxiety? usually i live by the idea that less is more with things like xanax or other benzo's...and i do believe that....but they did help me actually get back to sleep when i was having a lot of problems. they're by no means a cure-all. sometimes they cause more problems than they solve if you end up abusing them....but they can help some. anyway, if you haven't been given meds by a doctor, then i guess you will have to try to relax on your own.

just find something on tv that is calming...try to think about things besides your anxiety...and don't worry about falling back asleep. that will happen on it's own.
