Not sure what to do regarding meds.

Hi. I've been on Wellbutrin XL 300mg for 16 years. For the last several years I tend to obsess greatly over any health issues like migraines,body pains that can't be explained. To the point that I feel and believe that I have something terminal. I've seen dr.'s and had tests that all say I'm fine. Whenever I try a new drug for symptoms,I always have bad side affects which make me nervous starting anything different.  My question is,my Dr. wants me to ween off Wellbutrin XL 300 to WellbutrinXL 150mg for 14 days and to add Cymbalta 30 mg for 14 days at the same time.Then to increase Cymbalta 60 mg daily and stop Wellbutrin. I've read a lot about Cymbalta and don't know if I should do this.

Are you being treated for anxiety or depression -- both of these meds are for depression, not primary anxiety, as both are very stimulating.  And are you seeing a psychiatrist or a regular doc?

Sorry took so long to respond. I suffer from depression as well as anxiety. I only have a regular dr. but  am seeing a psychologist . I was to scared to switch my meds.
