Don't know what you mean by medical studies, since you don't get viruses from eating food. So there's that. You also don't say if you saw a doctor and got a diagnosis, so there's also that. But if it's only affecting you away from home, yeah, that sounds like anxiety, probably from whatever happened to you. Since you don't say you got a diagnosis from a doctor, we don't know what was really wrong with you -- could have been a virus, but not from food. Could have been a bacterial infection from food. Could have been a virus you got from someone at work or the gym or anywhere and you associated it with the food. Could have been food poisoning. People get upset stomachs from all sorts of things. What most people don't do is then expect to get it again every time they eat outside the home and cause themselves to feel ill. Now, if it was happening at home as well, I'd say you need to see a doctor because something is very wrong with your digestive system, but if feeling "safe" in your home makes it not happen, then yeah, you're probably suffering from anxiety. Often when a traumatic event occurs, people prone to chronic anxiety will just start to expect the same thing to keep happening and make it happen -- sounds like that's what you're doing. I'd still go see a doctor if you never did and get reassured nothing's wrong, and then it's probably time to see a psychologist who specializes in anxiety treatment so you can stop thinking this way. Or maybe you can just read this and convince yourself it's irrational to get sick out of the home when you eat and not in the home, that it probably doesn't have anything at all to do with eating, and see if repeating that to yourself makes it go away. Just wondering, anything happen other than this that might have caused you to start feeling anxious?
Sorry my English is not on point what i tried to say with medical studies is that I was diagnosed with a bacteria I got from food I ate at work, I think it was called norovirus or something like that. I know there is nothing wrong with my stomach, I just get a super wired feeling when am outside my house like you say, am waiting for something to happen. It's easier to say then done I really wish I would not think this way but is just in back on my mind. I also take my own food to work just in case. And the other thing, this might have been one of the biggest reasons why I have this problem even tho the bacteria was what destroyed me. when I was 13 years old I started to smoke weed now am 24. I always smoked flower and in the passed when I wanted to stop smoking it would be easy for me, the withdrawal would just hit me for 5 days max. When I was 22 I got hooked up on wax, wax is weed but concentrated is super strong stuff, when the bacteria hit me I decided to stop all together because I was getting dizzy after I smoked and ate something. But hey this time due to that wax is super strong the withdrawal came in horrible, I couldn't eat i felt like ****. I ate soups for 2weeks the only thing I could take down. I had the worst nausea I have ever had due to withdrawal or bacteria idk it just sucked. In those 15 days I probably threw up like 50x, I hate throwing up I really do. I don't know when am going to win this battle the only thing I know for sure is that am a bit glad this happened to me, because in the other hand I would have never gave up on marijuana. Now I know weed is no joke for me and I will stay away from it. Note: I only liked marijuana. I don't drink or do other drugs.
