Zoloft Withdrawal/Help with Anxiety

I have been taking Zoloft for 4yrs.... for anxiety and panic attacks... I do not take stress well and I have a very stressful life.  The medicine makes me dream but for the most part it worked... I still felt some chest pain when under a great deal of stress but I learned to avoid the stress... Anyway! I stopped taking it b.c my doctor wants to wean me off.... completely... It just came to me why I have been having headaches for the past week.  The last time I stopped I felt the electric shocks but this time the shocks are not that bad... now the headaches... How long will they last...?????

Are you coming off of Zoloft on a slow taper?  For me, when I came off of it, I initially had some bad headaches and a little anxiety, so I went back to my doctor and asked to taper down slower which helped me tremendously.  I still had some side effects, but they were much more tolerable and went away after a couple of weeks or so.  My mantra has always been, 'the slower, the better.'
