clonazepam/marijuana addiction anxiety disorder

I was in rehab last year for taking too much drugs. I used to smoke like 5 joints a day, combine it with pharmaceuticals like clonazepam, olanzapine and anti depressents. I did lsd, x and shrooms but not that often. maybe once very 2 months. (lsd just tried it once)  Now im clean. I quit EVERY drug except for pot. i still think pot is not harmful in small quantities, like one time a week for example just to relax for a while. my question is the following, lately ive been under a lot of stress and throughout my whole life ive suffered from anxiety disorders. I was told once by a psychiatrist that i had a bipolar disorder and prescribed me carbamazepine and 300mg seroquel pills. thats when my parents decided to send me to a free-drug rehab. and it worked i quit every pill....for a while because im suffering from anxiety and stress again. ive started smoking pot every day, but just in small amounts to calm me down. (1/3 of a joint daily maybe) recently ive decided to stop smoking too much pot and decided to take 0.5 mg of clonazepam every 8 hours to stop the anxiety and to prevent myself from smoking pot. is this ok? are there any other less adictive pills to calm anxiety and to prevent me from smoking too much pot?

First of all, pot and anxiety don't generally go together, since pot tends to intensify what we're already feeling.  Plus, you don't use it for fun, you use it like water, so you obviously are easily habituated to drugs.  I'd just accept it no longer suits you.  Also keep in mind none of the drugs you mentioned are addictive except clonazepam, but you do seem to like getting high a lot and with a brain that isn't functioning in a relaxed fashion, that probably just isn't a good idea for you.  You're not doing this with a spirit guide, you're doing this yourself.  Also, never medicate prescription drugs yourself.  You need to see a psychiatrist and set up a schedule that recognizes your needs and the dangers of medication.  Clonazepam, unlike mj, can be very dangerous to quit suddenly; you're playing with fire.  Finally, bipolar disease is way overdiagnosed, thanks to pharmaceutical companies trying to sell medications.  If you don't have manic phases, don't worry about bipolar -- worry about what's bothering you.  Get into therapy and stay there, and see a psychiatrist, don't medicate yourself anymore.  None of us sees anyone that clearly, but we see ourselves the least.

You need to get help from a doctor again and tell them what has happened in the past. My little brother and sister both are bi polar and both are addicted to drugs. You name it, they've done it!! People who are bi polar tend to do this just to be calmer and chill out but it does become a habit and then a addiction. Go see a doctor because it sounds like you really do need help. Don't be afraid or ashamed to get help. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks as long as you are happy with yourself. Remember though, once you get onto something and it works for you, don't quit taking it unless you are under your doctors supervision. It can be very dangerous to stop any medications on your own. If you're ready for help, then go through your doctor about it. I wish you all the best and remember, you are not alone..... Take care and good luck.
