everyday i think something bad is going to happen to me

Hi, I'm 22 female, non smoker non drinker. I had a baby 19months ago. For aslong as I can remember I wake up daily thinking something bad is going to happen to me. Every illness I hear of I will get the symptoms and think I have it. I will look online at different illnesses and I will check my pulse regulary(to make sure I'm still alive) sound crazy huh? The past few weeks I've been.experiencing left ARM and hand pain which comedy and goes its only there when I worry about it. Then I pannic and think I'm going to have a heart attack, I will feel funny and feel the need to do a poo. I've also started to worry about eating. Can anybody relate to this please.

Yeh I can totally relate! I used to go through cycles of illness what "was" wrong with me!  From my heart one week then the next week it'll be my breathing then the next week bowel cancer then back to heart problems again lol, and with the eating thing I used to eat really well through the week but then on our takeaway night on a Saturday I used to order a kebab and stright away regret it! (the same feeling ud get if u took and an e pill and regretting taking it but it's to late! Just for the record I've never taken e's! X

If you read though some of the posts you will find that many suffer with the same symptoms as you, due to anxiety.  The fact that things only happen when you think about them shows that it's your anxiety doing this.  Anxiety is a powerful thing but with therapy and/or medication we can take our lives back and live a happy life.  For many anxiety sufferers their anxiety has a root cause which is normally a traumatic event from our past which we never really dealt with.  When this happens, anxiety and/or depression will hit us out of no where and leave us confused and scared.  You need to break the cycle of obcessing over something being wrong.  Our anxiety feeds off our worries and fears....we worry and get symptoms, it's a vicious cycle.  I would get a thorough check-up by your doctor to make sure everything is okay and if it is......see a psychiatrist.  Psychiatrists are most knowledgeable and can refer you to the proper therapist for therapy to help you sort through all of this.  But therapy can be a lengthy process and often medication is needed to control your symptoms........your choice.  It sounds like you may benefit from therapy alone since you're not having full blown panic attacks.  But see your GP first and go from there.  I hope this helps and we're always here for you!
