Definitely speak to your healthcare provider.  One of the negative side effects (for some) is the weight gain that comes with these medications.  If you notice that you are gaining too much weight, think about starting an exercise program or switching to a medication that has a low history of potential weight gain.....  You can get through this!  Let us know how you do.....

If I told you that I ended up under 6 stone once because I gave up eating due to anxiety would it make you want to eat more? The more you let it take hold the worse it can bite into you. Suprised your doctor didn't place you on zispin ( Remoron I think you call it in the US ) as it works with anxiety, but also has a side effect of weight gain. Hope things pick up for you.

It sounds like you may need to see a doctor to discuss your anxiety.  I too have severe anxiety, but then again, I'm also on Seroquel 200mg per day as a mood stabilizer for bi-polar.  My doctor prescribed Klonopin (1mg) as needed, but to me that does is way too high.  I find that .25 helps, as well as, taking very long walks in the evening when I get home from work.  As far as the weight goes, you really need to force yourself to eat something, as not eating will have serious reprecussions.  You should definitely see a psychologist, psychiatrist, therapist, or even your general practitioner to discuss your anxiety levels.  Good luck!  Let me know how you do!
