Then go to ANOTHER doctor.  Keep looking until you find one that listens!  And you go with him every time.  If your husband has been on .5mgs twice daily for two solid years, then I really doubt it's the medicine causing your husbands behavior.  It's probably something else which is impossible to say here on the Internet.  We are just members here, not doctors.  Have you tried the Ask a Doctor forum?

That's quite a jump down from 3mgs daily to 1mg daily.  Like you stated earlier, it certainly sounds like withdrawal.  Please return to your doctor asap and tell him/her what your telling me.  Or maybe you need to take him to the ER.  Only you know if it's serious enough for that.

You MUST get him back to his doctor and you go with him and verbalize his behavior until the doctor listens.  Or, start looking for a new doctor ASAP.

Ok?

I'm not sure what to say without knowing more detail.  Is he on it for anxiety or seizure disorder.  What dose is he on and is the dose taken once or twice a day.  What, exactly, is his behavior like?  Is he taking any other medication?

I mean, does your husband not trust himself around you and the kids right this minute?

We really need some history.

Ok, then you're probably right about the withdrawals.  If he's been on it for 10yrs, doesn't he have a doctor who is prescribing it?  Did this doctor lower the dose?  Was the dose lowered 2yrs ago or just recently?  This drug needs to be tapered SLOWLY.  Either way, his doctor should be contacted immediately!

Is your husband taking Klonopin on a regular schedule?  If he is, then I don't believe this drug would be responsible for your husbands behavior.
