Kolanapins vs Prozac or Zoloft

So I have a question for anyone that knows anything about med switches... Dh and I have been trying to get pregnant for 16 months and this last month I was on the koladapins from prozac for the last month because I haven't been ovulating so they knew it was safe to take a class d. I started to lose the ability for prozac to do me any good. Does anyone know of any good meds they can recommend for me that would be safe for me to take while TTCing?

Yea, that is going to be a tricky one. The Benzos are the best for anxiety dissorder, but being pregnant, I don't know if it's safe to take them.

You can take Zoloft while pregnant. Zoloft will help a little with your anxiety, but it will take 6 weeks before it helps. I used to take Zoloft. Took it for 4 years (then it stopped working) I took it mainly for depression, but it helped with my anxiety also. I took 250Mgs a day. Any less didn't do anything.

yeah that was the whole reason they changed my klonipins because we started ttcing and I have taken quite a number of anti anxiety meds and I figured that I will try to do zoloft or something of that nature. I have had this problem since I was 18 (well more like 10 but didn't get diagnosed until I was 18) I guess I will have to do some research and talk to my fertility specialist tomorrow and see what she recommends!

Do you mean Klonipin, as in the Benzodiazaphine drug used for anxiety dissorder?
I have never heard of Koladapins.

As for the Prozac, that comes as no shock to me. SSRI's can lose their effectivness after only a year or two.

You could always try a different antidepressant. I know plenty of women that are pregnant while taking an antidepressant and they never had any problems and their baby was born perfectly normal.

As far as I know there is no proof that antidepressants pose any risk to mother or unborn child.

I would be much more worried about using a Benzo like Klonopin, Xanax, or Valium, during pregnancy.
