Zoloft & Anxiety Question

I recently started having anxiety symptoms and attacks out of nowhere on a regular basis so my dr put me on Zoloft 50mg once a day. After three weeks on it my dr increased the Zoloft to 100 mg, once a day because I still keep having a lot of anxiety and days where I just feel very depressed (no energy or desire to do anything, etc).

I'm getting anywhere from 7-8 1/2 hours of sleep a night but am staying soooo sleepy during the day with constant yawning and just overall feel tired. I also just feel strange in the head(only thing I know to call it) almost like a lightheaded weird feeling(this is almost constant). I'm also still having some anxiety and nervousness but I know that it takes time for the medicine to work and I've just now been on it almost a month(3 weeks @ 50mg, almost a week @ 100mg).

What I'm wondering is this - is the sleepiness and the weird feeling the head from the medicine and if so, will they go away once my body gets used to it? My appetite is also very up and down. I can be starving and then not hungry at all when I go to eat and I keep getting headaches.

Thanks so much for any suggestions or advice given!

Also, how long until the Zoloft starts helping with the anxiety and depression?

Hello, I am on Lexapro, three weeks and I have everything your explaining.  I know that doesn't answer your questions, but wanted to give a little comfort.  Every symptom and question you asked, I have too.  One of the mods on here told me each time we increase or decrease, we can have the side effects all over again.  It certainly is frustrating.  I was also told that these SE's that were getting should go away soon, and I'm still sleepily and anxiously awaiting.  Michelle

So on the Lexapro you have the strange/weird feeling in your head too? I just wasn't sure if it was the Zoloft or the anxiety or what that is making me feel that way.

Hopefully all of these side effects from the meds will go away for both of us soon!

Yes, I have the strange/weird feeling in my head.  The lightheadedness, and other times, pressure, other times weird feelings.
The last two days were not so bad with my anxiety, didn't need a xanax, and then this morning I have anxiety.  I have not taken a xanax, as i'm already exhausted, but while having a had time keeping my eyes open, my legs want to run a mile and my thoughts just keep racing.
I'm having a struggle staying on this, I"m glad I'm seeing my Dr. tomorrow.

Hey Miche- Just wondering how your dr's appt went the other week and if you're feeling any better.

I started taking the Zoloft at night to help with the sleepiness side effects. BUT, I still have the weird/cloudy feeling in my head and can't seem to shake it.
