Hey Hun same here, there is footballer here in UK who had an heart attack on the pitch during d game...he is only 23 for 2 hours he could not breathe without d help of machines...I was damn scared m still scared...cuz I'm 23 as well n living with this hell called anxiety...I'm middle of nowhere
My heart is always my trigger
N yes I ve those mini attacks too
It's quite normal during anxiety to feel as though there is something wrong with your heart. I've had bad anxiety now for 12 years and have always thought there was something wrong with my heart, but I'm still here.
I also got checked out a few times over the years, this used to reassure me until my next bad episode.
As scary as it sounds it's all in your head. well, if your a young and healthy person, you should have no problems with your heart.
The body is an amazing thing, can be very over whelming at times, but you have to trust it.
If you don't believe the cardiologist, why would you believe us? A stress test may not show the doctor EXACTLY what is wrong, IF there IS anything wrong, but it will show them that SOMETHING is not right and you would be sent on for further testing. That absolutely nothing gave your doctor cause for concern, you really need to accept that your heart is just fine.
I sincerely believe that your symptoms, all of them, are directly related to anxiety. Nobody has ever died from an anxiety attack, but chronic stress can make bad things happen.
If you feel your therapist is not helping, find someone else. Sometimes it takes going through 4-5 therapist before we find one we really connect with and that's when we begin to make progress.
Are you on any medication? It might be a good idea to discuss this with your therapist if you decide to stay with him/her. You can also talk to your cardilolgist about your anxiety. You'll be seeing him again in just a few weeks. If you are really freaking out, try to get in to see him sooner.......the same with the psychiatrist.
You might want to go to our Heart Rhythms Forum and talk with the folks there. Before I had my 2 heart stents placed, those people gave me so much support and the courage I desperately needed.
You'll be fine, but you need to calm down and accept what is, which is that your heart is fine.
Peace
