Hi..
No. A hysterectomy will not alleviate symptoms of an anxiety disorder.
I had one when I was 30 years old. It relieved the pain of fibroids, and fear of pregnancy, but that is all. I had more energy which I needed to take care of four children.
Full blown anxiety showed up two years after a divorce as I worked my way through college. I have asked psychiatrists if my problem was hormonal...and the answer is 'you were not admitted to a hospital for hormonal issues'.
As to age...I am 76 and will take klonopin or similar medication until my last day. The pressures of life don't stop with age. For some, life gets easier. For others, it is harder. Socioeconomic factors, health problems, lots of variables factor into quality of life...at any age.
No, it won't help and having my hysterectomy didn't change anything for me....still on medication. I've been told that our panic attacks ease up with age, don't know if this is true or not. If you haven't tried therapy and/or medication it's well worth a try.
I dont know if the surgery will cure your panic disorder because from what I know the two are unrealted. But maybe in your case, if the panic is related to that area, maybe it could help.
