zoloft wearing off by late afternoon

hi all. new to this. have been on meds for 16 yrs. and lots and lots of therapy that didnt do any good but dr going to make me start again. anyway... just switched 10 days ago from paxil to zoloft and it seems to be working ok and yes i know it takes 4-6 weeks for the full effect to be there but  by late afternoon i start feeling anxious and moody and paranoid just like before i started any meds.  has this happened to any one else. oh and i am on the 50mg dose

Ask your doctor if you can take half in the morning and the other half in the evening.  That might work well for you.  I know I've done this with a few different meds, after asking doc, and it was fine.  Blessings - Blu

I agree with blu about asking your doctor about trying divided doses and see if that helps with the afternoon slump.
If not, discuss the SHORT TERM use of a low dose benzo until the Zoloft kicks in fully.
