thanks...this site is really great...everyone here is so helpful thanks so much
Yes, you heard correctly from my experience. It's definitely not a perfect cure-all, but accepting the anxiety goes a long way towards reducing it. I just heard this about 5 months ago when I read a book by Claire Weekes. I started putting it into practice, and it's helped tremendously. Now when I feel myself tensing up, I'll tell myself something like "Yay! Now I get to practice accepting anxiety." I don't try fight it like I used to. BUT, like silverberg says, it is for sure easier said then done. It's easy to forget, and one has a tendency to react in our conditioned ways. Besides, what's the harm in him trying it?
that is one way to WORK on ones Panic attacks, but please pleae understand THIS IS EASIER SAID THEN DONE,
All I can add is think of your biggest fear, everyone has something. it takes time, I would hope he is seeing therapist, tell him about this site lots of support here.
