Derealization tends to be common with anxiety. I get this feeling a lot especially days with lots of stress and such. I get headaches too...for me its on the left side of my head like behind my eye. I get this headache all the time when im stressed or worried and anything that can trigger anxiety. Until you see the doctor, try and keep yourself distracted so you dont focus so much on the symptoms because it will only freak you out. Reading really helps me get involved in someone elses world other than my own and it just helps a lot. Also, when you feel anxiety coming on take 3 really deep breaths breathing in through your nose as deep as you can and out through your mouth slowly. This is what my phyciatrist told me to do because it actually slows down the production of some hormone that gets relesed in your back that triggers anxiety. Something like that...I didnt really understand it but I guess it helps.
thank you i do alot of reading esp at night when its quiet that seems to help me sleep,i also play alot of games with my little boys too.it seems like always have that derealization nothing seems real anymore just feels like everyday is a dream i forgot to mention that it also makes me very dizzy and i always feel faint, dont know if thats part of the derealization or not but i try not to freak out it seems like if i think about it i can feel my anxiety rise.from what i have read on the internet my hadaches are tension headaches caused from anxiety......as if there is not enough syptoms of anxiety to deal with why not add a headache too lol one more thing to freak out about.anyway thanks again for the comment it makes me feel better to know im not just going crazy.
Sorry you are going through such a hard time right now. Everything you are describing does sound like anxiety. I agree that you should go see your dr as soon as you can for a physical. A blood test might be a good idea too. Sometimes when certain vitamins are low they can cause anxiety.
I would also suggest that you see a psychatrist. They will be able to help you figure out a treatment plan and help you get get to the bottom of what is causing the anxiety.
In the meantime, try keeping a journal. Sometimes just writing about being anxious helps to get some of those feeling out and you actually start to feel better. Make sure you are eating right, getting enough sleep and exercise. Also try taking a mulit vitamin.
I hope you start feeling soon.
