Hey I glad to hear you are doing better!! Kudos!!! You will be fine and keep pressing foward...Take care
Hi there,
Good to hear that you are getting better! Considering that the medication is helping significantly, this goes to show that your symptoms are coming from anxiety.
Is it a heart problem? Not at all, you are young and healthy. It is very, very unlikely. Palpitations, as I've said before are totally normal, they happend to everyone once in a while. Some only get them on very rare occasion, some get them frequently throughout the day. They are not harmful in any way, its kind of like the heart's own hiccup I guess. You said you've been to the doctor and all checked out, right? Well there's the truth of the matter, you are perfectly fine.
Anxiety can cause hypochondria in some, making them wonder about their symptoms and if they really are being caused by anxiety, but this is the confusing aspect of anxiety disorders - they can make you think something is wrong when there is nothing wrong with you at all. Stop being so paranoid about your heart and health overall. You may have a slight cardiac neurosis (obsessive and irrational worry over your heart) from all the palpitations, but you should consult with your therapist on this and talk to him or her about it. Many anxiety-ridden people worry about their hearts even though they probably know they are nice and healthy, the irrational sides of them get put on high alert whenever they feel a racing pulse, or a slower than normal pulse, or a palpitation of some form and it can set them off.
Go visit the heart rhythm forum on here, they have great posts on stuff about palpitations from anxiety. Best of luck.
