I missed two weeks work when I started having my anxiety attacks. I wasn't sure what was wrong with me. I talked with my boss and told him everthing I was going through and I think he felt sorry for me because I was trembling all over and looked like hell. At my job it is really slow now because of the ecomomy and I know they are thinking about letting someone go so that made my anxiety worse. Anyway, the two weeks I was off helped a little but I did realize I feel better when I'm busy. Work is really slow so I suffer thru the day with nothing to do. Your panic is what is making you want to flee from work but it's not much better at home either. Are you taking any meds? If you belive in God email me and I will give you some advise on making your panic go away!
I've been there. I have had to stay at work though before and just suffer through it. I would have to go to quiet place or go be next to a stable person and get myself feeling safe for a bit. Employers should really have more empathy for people that have panic attacks. It's really debilitating. I feel your pain though. Hope it works out.
That happened to me about 3 yrs ago..but I actually got fired via a phone call from my boss the day I went home early due to my doctor's appt for refill on meds...go figure! It *****!!!! But I feel for you and am sad for you. I don't have panic/anxiety like I use too...my medication keeps them at bay...for now! Keeping my fingers crossed!
My anxiety and panic attacks are like herpies. They never go away. It's a ***** to work with them during the day, but I figure I will feel like **** no matter if I am at home or at work, so I mights as well make money.
