Dizzy...but not dizzy

Hi there. I have been feeling constantly dizzy for about 4 months now....well when I say dizzy its more a feeling of my brain floating in my head, a feeling of lightheadedness which sometimes makes me feel quite 'spaced out' and like im drunk/drugged (when I havent drunk alcohol or taken any drugs!). Sometimes my eyes feel like they are really fighting to focus, dont get me wrong my vision is fine, it just feels like everything is more of an effort. Sometimes the dizziness is not too bad, and sometimes it gets much worse but there doesnt seem to be any triggers to it.

I have had an MRI which came back normal. My Neurologist has now written me off and is referring me back to my doctor so as he can refer me to a Neurootologist.

I would like to know if anyone has had any similar symptoms and also suggestions of things it could be would be greatly appreciated.

Has your dizziness led to anxiety and panic? I have similar symptoms that I have had tests run for, and of course everything came back normal. However the frustration and physical condition that I am in has led to anxiety and panic attacks. The next thing that I am going to do is have my eyes checked extensively. I already wear glasses, which I started wearing after the symptoms started, I just think that after all of the research that I have done that it may have to do with my eyes. The last diagnosis I had was severe dry eye, however I think there is more than that going on. I think I am starting to get more in tune to my symptoms and I truely feel that what I am experiencing as far as feeling spacey, incoherent, unable to comprehend, unable to focus(mentally as well), and pretty much like losing my mind has alot to do with my poor and unstable vision. Do you also feel a fullnes in your ears and head as if you might have an ear disorder? I do plan on detoxing in the near future. I have read that what ever is going on in the body can be flushed out and damaged cells and organs repaired by detoxing in a healthy way. By healthy I mean flushing the body with herbs and replacing old damaged cells with new ones by way of vitamine and mineral supplements and whole fruits and veggies. I am going to give it a try, along with implementing an exercise routine, stress relief meditation, and prayer.

Thank you all for your suggestions and new posts. Just to update you on a new symptom I seem to have developed - a really sharp stabbing pain in my head on the right side, like someone is stabbing a knitting needle into my head from above.....only lasted about 15mins but then later the same evening I had another pain this time on the right side but at the side of my head....this only lasted a few seconds but has happened a few times since....does anyone else get this along with their dizziness?

I've had/have similar symptoms when it came on it lasted for months. On a bad day, it really felt uncomfortable when my head wasn't still. Neurologist thought it was chronic migraine and prescribed prednisone which helped get rid of it.

I have batteled the same symptoms described above for years. Recently I was diagnosed  with metal toxicity from fillings and other. I also have Hypothyroidism. My Doctor links all my symptoms to environmental toxins. She recommended I take all my silver fillings out and go on a seriuos cleanse ( including sauna, colonics, liver cleanse, etc). I was not sure of how seriously to take my Doctor until I picked a copy of "Detoxify or Die" written by Sherry Rodgers, M. D. The book is based on research and data and explains why we all have these symptoms. I recommend it to all of you who are concerned with your health .

I am going to keep up with this post to see if anything gives me ideas.  Occasionally i get a "hung over " type of feeling.  Not terribly dizzy, just not right and the eXACT feeling as if i had a night of heavy drinking (without anything to drink of course)...when it happens it happens for a few days to a week.  I can't imagine it being constant So sorry you have to deal with it  , and hope it gets figured out.

Hi,

I have all of your described symptoms. Was diagnosed with heavy metal toxicity (from my fillings and passed from my mother in utero). Also have a bad candida infection--easy to get, terribly hard to get rid of! This makes me feel drunken/dizzy and also affects my vision. Please search for my other posts on heavy metals and candida to read more!
