I'm scared I may have MS

I have been having mild symptoms lately. I had a baby last December and had very bad back pain the whole time from the extra weight. When he was around 6 months old I started experiencing tingling in my left shoulder blade. Not all the time, not every day, but a couple times a week for a few minutes. I went to the doctor for wrist pain (a separate issue, I was diagnosed with deQuavarains tenosynovitis). He gave me a steroid shot and said I developed that from constantly carrying a 20 pound baby on my left hip, supporting him with my wrist. I mentioned the shoulder thing and he said not to worry unless I developed it somewhere else. A couple months later, I felt a very slight tingling in my elbow once in a while. So I googled it, came up with MS! Scary. I went back, explained my new symptom, he asked me to make a fist, push down on his hand, etc, to test for muscle weakness. I had no weakness. He said he'd recommend me to a neurologist if I wanted but he was 99.9 % sure I didn't have it, that it was probably a pinched nerve or something. It's a few weeks later, the elbow thing has gone away, I only feel the shoulder tingling very occasionally. But last night for a few hours, my face was flushed and hot, which I've read is a possible MS symptom. So now I'm scared again. My husband thinks I'm crazy. I feel no weakness, no blurred vision, no mind fogginess. My husband thinks the tingling was caused by carrying the baby all the time, now that he's walking he says that's why I hardly ever feel it.I don't know if I'm crazy but I just want to be able to be there for my kids. Please, if you have any advice, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

I too had tingly, shooting pains after having babies.  Your dr. is right, it's from carrying those heavy babies.  Just relax and enjoy your sweet new baby.  They grow up quickly.

Hi Cornflakegirl444.

MS is one of the most conditons to dx. The MS dx criteria incorporate many clinical and lab/MRI (positive) findings and your symptoms just do not warrant such as a suspicion at this time.
Just do a search for this and you'll understand better what is involved.
You're not crazy,  and it pays sometimes to err on the precautious and suspicious side of possibilty of health complications and disease.
Keep a record of any significant changes, so you can go back to refer to them, if you ever need to.

Meanwhile, avoid handling anything heavy, as you may aggravate your
condition. It takes time for your possible nerve or muscle damage to heal.
Proper nutrition, stress reduction, understanding of biomechanics,
and light appropriate low impact exercises-check with your PCP and or PT-
will ensure an improved health outcome.

Cheers!
Niko
