One thing that I forgot to mention is the fact (according to Dr Garth Nicolson,
a part time Expert here at medhelp and the world's leading expert in pathogenic mycoplasma infections and co-infections) that most scleroderma sufferers have underlying mycoplasma infections.
So perhaps you may want to look into this. Just do a search here under his name or under his Institute of Molecular Medicine in Huntington Beach, CA
The good news is that anyone who may have such an infection can be treated effectively!
Cheers!

While we all know the tragic consequences of agent orange exposure,
causing disability and even death in thousands of veterans, the direct link
was never "legally" established.
I have read the book "Who Gets What" which describes in detail the
the events leading to the distribution of the monetary settlement
(out of court) to the victims of this tragic event in history and others.
It would be very difficult to establish scientific causality in regards to a second generation being subject to any ill effects, linked to a parent's
exposure to OA (and consequent disability), however it is possible.
Every situation is different and any predisposition to this and attributed to the parent's exposure, is likely to manifest only in the presence of certain activating factors, such as genetics, poor lifestyle choices , underlying imbalances ,other unrelated conditions , lowered immune function ,trauma and stressful events, etc.
Taking extra good care of your body-mind-spirit is the best way to minimize these potential threats.
Wishing you well.
