Hi. I was just wondering on an update. Has your daughter had any testing done? MRI, EEG, blood?
If you are not happy with the current neurologist, make sure you get a second or third or fourth opinion. Sometimes you have to fight for help in our healthcare system, unfortunately.
Hang in there and keep fighting for your daughter. Let us know how you come out.

Honey, you need to find a NEUROLOGIST. If the Neurologisyt agrees that it may be MS, then an MRI WITH CONTRAST should take place to see if there are LESIONS in the brain, creating this 'interruption' in function.
If there ARE lesions, and they are ACTIVE, liquid drip steroids (SOLUMEDROL) may be the way out, perhaps, but get a Neurologist involved
I feel for "nofuss" with Devic's Disease.......easily misdiagnosed for MS. There are LOTS of people on this website who will help you. GOOD LUCK!! Keep up the good fight!
I would suggest finding a neurologist (especially one that maybe specializes in autoimmune disorders) because they could assess her situation and run the necessary tests to determine a diagnosis. I was misdiagnosed with MS about 10 years ago, and after visiting a neurologist at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale Arizona, I was diagnosed with Devic's Disease. Sometimes it is difficult to get to the root of the problem, but if you find the right doctor to help, it sure makes a difference. Although there are no cures for some disorders, there are things that you can do to help control the episodes and slow the progression of the disease. I hope this helps.
The neurological problems we are seeing today is the result of too many toxins in the body. Think you should examine your daughters enviroment and try to eliminate as many of the toxins as you can. Has she had alot of dental work done, vaccinations, or eating alot of the wrong kind of fish? These items are responsible for mercury posioning. Look at the diet and it should be predominately raw fruits and vegetable which give the body the nutrients it needs to deal with the toxins. Get a Nutritional Healing book and it will give you a list of vitamins and supplement which can be taken to help with the body healing itself. The doctors have no cures for these neurological diseases. The body can heal itself if given the nutrients it needs.
The neurologist should be able to perform the correct tests to determine if this is MS. I don't know a whole lot about MS other than many of the symptoms overlap with the symptoms for Fibromyalgia, which is also neurological. Perhaps you would like to post your question in the neurology forum and even post the question in the ask the expert portion in the neurology forum. There are others with MS who know what needs to be done to test for MS. I don't, but others do.
