Spine and Middle back pain Constantly Need an MRI?

I've had chronic back and spine pain for the last 7 months. I could deal with pain for the most part the only problem is that I'm a U.S Marine and I Have to Pt Physical training and do other strenuous and physical activities.
when I sit it feels like a deep achy pain in my spinal chord and sometimes near my tailbone I feel some crunching and popping. My rhomboid area also aches and burns very deeply when I Run and do pushups my ribs/Rhomboid area burns and aches so bad. My father has Degenerative Disc disease and Idk if that is genetic He also had multiple herniated discs. Idk if there is a correlation. After Working out on this for many months I Finally went to medical I Got X rayed and found out I have extra Ribs and thoracic kyphosis I was treated for a torn muscle but ive had tears/sprains before and this pain is so much deeper. Would an MRI be of any help or has anyone had symptoms similar to this ive been having to workout out again and I'm in a lot of pain Looking for advice and what the best way to go would be
Thank you

If it Helps The injury was originally in Bootcamp and felt like electricity going down my back on my left side. In Marine Combat School during the hikes I felt some things pop and it became extremely achy and it became hard to breath and burned
