I went to one I was referred to also by my doctor and he ended up hurting too. The doctor actually apologized (which is very rare from a doctor). Did the doctor tell you you had to do manipulation or chiro from the PT? If not just have that PT do regular stretches and strenthening.

ok i dont know wht to do know, the pt i am going to was referreed to me by neurosurgeon and doctor
ok, but this is the pt that both my neurosurgeoon and dr have referred me to
I don't think a PT should be doing chiropractic work on you at all. I went to one that did an adjustment on me and I haven't been the same since. I also don't like chiropractic work anyway. You would be better off seeing a real doctor. If you like doing PT tell them no manual manipulations and no manual therapy, just regarding stretches and strenghtening. This is my opinion. The PT's are all different they have no regulations. They get their PH.D.(which is a MS with two years of practise) or MS from a school and pass their exam but no one watches over them as far as I can see. I have had 3 bad out of 4.
