How do I ask my mum to go on the pill?

I'm 16 and I want to go on the pill because I'm scared of condoms not working but I have no idea how to talk to my mum about it.

If you think you are a responsible enough adult to have sex, you must also be a responsible enough adult to have a conversation about it with your mother.  Of course she doesn't want you to get pregnant, that is on your side even if she is shocked that you are having sex.

Just say, "Mom, I'd like to get an appointment to get a prescription for the Pill."
