Ortho tri cyclen lo: got period before green pills

This is my first month on ortho tri cyclen lo. planned parenthood told me that I should get my period when I am taking the green "sugar pills" at the end of the pack, right before I start a new pack of pills. But I am on my period on the last few dark blue pills, before the green pills. I take the pill at the same time every day and I don't skip...is everything ok?

Could just be your body trying to regulate while taking the pills. It is not uncommon to have breakthrough bleeding when first starting bcp. It should decrease over time.
