Keep us posted. I hope everything turns out well with the biopsy!
Thanks everyone !! Went to Dr. today and he said it looked like this has been there for about 10 years. Could be something that he was born with or a low grade tumor. he said most or benign. He is having a biopsy scheduled to find out for sure. I will keep you posted.
A calcified lesion like that hopefully is benign - that is what the docs are counting on - that the body took care of it like a pearl and puts its own defense around it... it can make it a lot easier to remove in some cases from what I read as it is contained. I hope the doc gives you more info and your hubby hangs in there.
Thank you! I did get a copy of the MRI and due to the calcium around the tumor they couldn't tell much. I will let you know what happens after our visit on the 5th of Jan.
Did you get a copy of the MRI and the report? If so, you can usually read the report and the radiologist can usually tell by the nature of the imaging if they think it is malignant or benign. This is not a perfect process so you have to get a biopsy to really know what the lesion is and then treat the lesion per the results of the biopsy.
It is likely at least some of the headaches are related to the lesion. I would keep after the doctor or call around to another.
I'm sorry to hear this. It got me upset that nobody talked to you guys right away, and that you guys have to wait for an appointment. Did you guys get an explanation in regards to "there is no hurry in getting this taken care of"? I wonder if that was the cause of the migraines. Please keep us updated.
