muliple myeloma

What is the latest treatment for multiple myeloma?  I had a stem cell transplant 13 years ago and am among the longest survivers. MM is not curable, only treatable.   I was in a clinical trial, but now am too old for another stem cell transplant.  The cancer is not active now, but I have that fear everytime I go in for my 6 month checkup.

I just wanted to say may God continue to Bless you and give you life for many years to come. It's really reassuring to hear that someone with Multiple Myeloma has survived for 10 years. My dad has MM going on 4 years now and they told him his max life span with this cancer would b 5 years max but he responding well with his treatment they give him a bone strengthener/chemo called Zomeda (probably not spelled correctly) and the cancer cells are low to where he is close to remission. He was in remission for not even a year when the cancer came back and now he is doing okay with the cancer.
I pray that they are able to find some treatment for you if god forbid your cancer comes back. You just have to find the right docs that are willing to try new things. There was one doc that told my dad sorry I can't help you anymore but we went to another doc who had more experience and was able to help us
