Architectural distortion on the screening mammogram and outcome

Can anyone share if they had architectural distortion one view on their screening mammogram and the outcome?

Hello, welcome to the forum.  Thank you for your question and sorry there has been a delay in answering it. Architectual distortion on mammogram is fairly common. It's not a mass. It's a change in breast fiber. Changing to some degree can be normal and no issue but if it is a significant change, radiologists have more concern. I don't know how old you are, but post menopausal women have more normal change in architectural distortion. It's important to follow up though as architectural distortion can also be associated with DCIS or some invasive breast cancer. This occurred a bit ago so would love to know the outcome.
