Nipple falls off

I'm in my mid 20's and ever since I could remember my right nipple will get hard, then start to crack, then falls off. Then it will eventually grow back and do the same thing. It happen every year. My left nipple is totally normal. This makes me very self conscious with guys because a hard, cracking, breaking off nipple is totally abnormal. I've never had a doctor comment on it, normal or gyno but it would help if I know what this was and if there was a way to fix it or get reconstruction.

Hi again,
On second thought, could it be that what you meant was that the "skin" of your nipple cracks, flakes and falls off and not your nipple itself ?.
If this is the case,it's probably due to skin dryness.Applying pure Lanolin such as "Lansinoh" (used by breastfeeding mothers) would greatly help to keep your nipple well moisturized. You can purchase the cream over the counter at your local pharmacy.
If the condition still persists,a visit to a dermatologist would be a good idea in case it's eczema or a fungal infection that needs to be treated.
However, if you meant that the nipple itself falls off, then a Breast Specialist would be the best one to consult to make sure that also a more serious condition such as Paget disease is ruled out. .
I hope this helps....

Hi,
I am sorry if I can't help you with your problem ,because I honestly never heard of a nipple falling off and grow back again. If this abnormality you are describing is actually true, then please consult a Breast Specialist for evaluation.
Take care...
