Too young for beast cancer? Signs are here.

So im 16 and have been watching a lot of Greys Anatomy lately, but I highly doubt this is paranoia. I have this small black dot forming on the underside of my right breast. It was never there before but I just found it. I also have these bumps on my nipple that kind of looks like pimples but arent, or I dont think so. But this black dot is really freaking me out and its as big as a dot from a pen but visible and has formed on the burn mark or birth mark that ive had since I was a really small kid. The birth or burn mark is about half my pinky long and kind of spotted. Im not sure that has to do with it but just in case because im really freaked out since breast cancer runs heavily in my family. Also my breast arent very big or even normal sized there small and im not sure thats normal for someone my age. If someone could please just give feedback and over stressed over here. Thank you.

I won't say that you are too young for breast cancer BUT it would certainly be a one in a million chance so let's put that aside. May I ask what "Grey's Anatomy" has to do with you thinking that you might have Breast Cancer. It's a TV Show ... !! Now to your little black "dot" .. this isn't a symptom of Breast Cancer. Some changes in moles on parts of the body can be a symptom of skin cancer. My advice to you is to see a Dermatologist and have him/her examine this "dot" so you will know what it is and put your mind at ease about Breast Cancer. You mention that you have a family history of BC but you don't mention exactly who in your family had the disease. It is usually a cause for concern if the history is in first degree relatives; Mother, Sister and possibly Aunts. My further advice would be to STOP stressing about diseases and such .... get yourself to your Dr.for an exam and explanation of your problem. Take care now and stop worrying so much ... you're only 16 and you have a lifetime to worry.  Kindest regards ...

Glad you have made an appointment and please don't put too much confidence in TV shows. Most of the shows tht deal with medicine have Dr.s as advisors but that is only so they use the proper terminology and don't get too far off base with their situations. Rmember it's still "entertainment" !!
You mention the cancer connection thru Grandmothers and Aunts .... IF these were BREAST cancers then it would be wise for you to be screened earlier than the normal recommended age of 40 ... perhaps late 20s or 30s. Take care now and don't worry so much, OK ???

Thanks so much for the advice and info it gave me a relief! And I scheduled an appointment with my doctor. The whole Grey's Anatomy thing is, I didnt know if it was paranoia or could actually be something. I read in an artical that at least half of whats on the show is true, but who knows. Three of my grandmothers had cancer and two of my aunts. Thanks again for the advice!

"House" is even more idiotic than "Grey's Anatomy." These are not medicine; they are theater. If shows like this make you nervous, it's best not to watch them. Or, you can treat them as comedy.

You mention your breast size and ask if being small is normal. Sure. So is big. And so is medium.
