Hi!

Sorry!  You got two answers in one!  ;)  I accidently pasted a response I gave to another member into the answer I gave you!  Maybe that's a sign I should hit the hay for tonight!

Is your biopsy a radiological procedure or surgical?  If radiology, I agree with japdip, there probably won't be a problem.  If surgical, it may be different.

Be well,

Chris

You should call the surgery department and ask them. Check the paperwork they gave you for a number you can call for last minute questions.  The most important thing is that you are safe when you go into any medical procedure.  They may postpone it for a few days, but safety is key.

Let us know how it goes, ok?

Warmly,

Hi!

First of all, no questions sounds silly when you are worried about your health.  I think it's courageous to reach out to people and ask for help.  I can't speak to your symptoms -- I haven't personally experienced what you are experiencing.  I think it's important that you make an appointment with your ob/gyne and check it out.  If it's something, you deal with it.  If it's nothing, you move on relieved.  Please let us know how you are doing, ok?

Warmly,

Chris

I wouldn't think there would be any reason that you couldn't take the cold medicine and I doubt they would cancel the procedure since it's only a needle Bx ... BUT I would call the Radiology Dept. early in the morning just to be sure. Every Physician and Institution has different requirements ... it would be best to call very early just to be sure.  Good Luck ....
