Hi there,
These little bumps are called Montgomery glands which appear on the areolas or nipples and have nothing to do with breast cancer.
These glands are sebaceous glands which produce an oily fluid secreted in small amount to keep the nipples and areolas lubricated. Some women have a few of these glands, while others can have as many as 20 or more.
Please do not make the mistake thinking that these bumps are pustules or pimples and attempt to squeeze them. This is definitely not something that should be done, because it could lead to infection.
The skin of your nipples has large oil glands and occasionally they can get plugged up with dead skin cells and skin oils(just like pores on your face) If left alone they'll probably go away of their own accord. This is normal and many women have this problem. The best thing to do is to keep the area clean, wash with an antiseptic soap and apply warm compresses. If the black heads don't go away or keep recurring, then you can ask your doctor to prescribe a medication so this problem can be resolved.
Take care ...
