Timerunit213 and Daney: have you tried the anxiety forum? You will find a lot of support there. I hate to see you guys going through this but it is very very common and you will spend a lot of time worrying unless you work out how to kick the anxiety habit.
I suggest the books by Claire Weeks and regular exercise, listening to upbeat music, never go to bed in the daytime, meditation etc. If you cannot stop yourself worrying then see a doctor. There are fantastic medications nowadays for anxiety. You don't have to live a life in worry.
Wow. I am only 19. It's somewhat helpful to know that other people my age are going through the same thing. It's just these inexplicable symptoms are leaving my mind to its imagination and it kills me
I'm going through/gone through the same thing, once I believed I contracted an STD all hell broke lose I began to become extremely anxious and nervous that I have all kinds of illnesses. Currently I believe I have colon cancer, last summer was skin cancer. I know rationally that I most likely don't but I have that constant thought that I may actually have such problems. When you anxious like this you screen fro certain symptoms to prove to yourself that your right when they could be caused by numerous circumstances. I you and I take my advice because I can't live like this anymore with constant worry, I'm only 18.
Good to hear. Please take care of yourself. :)
Bonjour!
Thanks for your Response Londres. I was experiencing extreme anxiety about a month ago but I do not suffer from that anymore. These are just lingering thoughts. I just wanted to know if extreme anxiety can cause cancer so thanks for informing me that it didnt. I do plan on getting some mental help though.
To be perfectly honest, sounds like you are experiencing some sort of high level anxiety. Extreme anxiety is NOT a cause of cancer; not good for anyone either. I think it would be more appropriate for you to post on the Anxiety Forum and to consult your PCP/Family Physician about your situation for recommendations.
