hey Kato
I beleive as a medical student that cancer has heredity factors
My grandma and some of my aunties had cancer 2
my mum is over 40 so she checks every 6 months
Statistically, 5-15% of all Cancers have a genetic predisposition. So, there's a small chance that the two Cancers would have a hereditary connection.
As for Breast Cancer, I think that all women should be screened via routine annual mammograms regardless of family history. Before last year, age 40 was recommended age to start screening... now, it's age 50. I'm not sure about the Melanoma, though...
personally, I would be watchful of that.
